- Description
- Registered airmail cover sent from Monaco to Pernambuco, Brazil, and posted October 17, 1932. The cover is franked with six different Monaco stamps (50c, two different 75c, 2F, 3F and 5F) totaling F12.00 for the correct rate of F1.50 international letter rate + F2.00 registration + F8.50 Zeppelin surcharge to South America. In addition, the cover has a black/gray airmail etiquette.
- This cover was sent by surface to Friedrichshafen to connect with Graf Zeppelin. Postmarked in Friedrichshafen on October 24, 1932, it was then flown on the LZ-127 Graf Zeppelin's ninth 1932 South America Flight, receiving the special orange flight cachet. It arrived in Recife, Brazil, on October 27, 1932.
