- Description
- This is a mechanical handstamp manufactured by Multipost Company and sold by H.R. Harmer. Multipost products became so popular the name became a generic term for this type of hand held stamp affixer. The roll of stamps is loaded into the ciruclar compartment and when the handle is pressed, water is sprayed and a stamp is pushed down and pressed to the envelope. Multiposts were sold from 1910 to 1940.
