- Description
- This George Washington Carver Issue stamp depicts Dr. George Washington Carver, a scientist, botanist, educator and inventor. He studied alternative crops to cotton, such as peanuts and soybeans, as well as crop rotation, and taught at the Tuskegee Institute in Tuskegee, Alabama. This stamp was issued on the fifth anniversary of his death.
