- This Fifth International Philatelic Exhibition Issue stamp honors the Fifth International Philatelic Exhibition, an international postage stamp show that was held at the New York Coliseum at Columbus Circle in New York City. The stamp features an image of the New York Coliseum and the Columbus Monument. The New York Coliseum was built in 1956 and designed by Leon and Lionel Levy. The building’s inaugural events included the Fifth International Philatelic Exhibition, as well as the New York International Auto Show and the National Photographic Show.
