- The 90-reis Bull's Eye was issued August 1, 1843, to pay the rate for a letter weighing between four and six octaves (about .5 to .75 ounce). This rate was good for any domestic origin and destination.
- The number printed was 349,182. Of these, 8,057 were destroyed as remainders, so the quantity sold totaled 341,125.
